Musk says Tesla to use humanoid robots next year - Freegamesapblogspot

According to Tesla's CEO Elon Musk, the electric vehicle manufacturer will begin building and deploying humanoid robots by the next year.

According to a social media post by Elon Musk, Tesla will be the first company to employ the robots before starting to produce them for sale in 2026.
The statement coincided with the billionaire tech investor's efforts to reduce expenses at Tesla due to dwindling auto sales.

On Tuesday, the company reported that profits had dropped by nearly half for the three months to the end of June, falling from $2.7bn (£2.09bn) to less than $1.5bn (£1.16bn), as a sales slump weighed on the bottom line.
"In general, we continue to prioritize reducing costs across the board," the business said in a Tuesday statement to investors.

Tesla said that, in spite of a rush of price reductions and other customer-enticing offers, its vehicle revenue decreased 7% year over year in the quarter.
Thanks to expansion in its energy storage sector, it managed to scrape by with a 2% increase in total sales.
After hours trading saw an almost 8% decline in Tesla's shares.
Amidst a slowdown in the market for electric cars, Mr. Musk's firms have been more focused on technology like robotics, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence.
Earlier this year, Mr. Musk had said that he anticipated having the robot, known as Optimus, operational at Tesla facilities by the end of the year.
"Tesla will have genuinely useful humanoid robots in low production for Tesla internal use next year and, hopefully, high production for other companies in 2026," Elon Musk said on his social media site X, which was once known as Twitter.
Other companies that have been working on humanoid robot development include Boston Dynamics and Honda.
According to Tesla, the company wants to create a "autonomous humanoid robot" that can carry out "unsafe, repetitive, or boring tasks."
In the past, Mr. Musk has said that Tesla wanted the robots to be affordable, mass-produced, and cost less than $20,000 (£17,900) per.
He is renowned for establishing aggressive timetables for his businesses, which he hasn't always fulfilled.

He said in 2019 that he was "very confident" Tesla will have self-driving taxis operating by the next year.
Mr. Musk said earlier this year that the much anticipated robo-taxi will be introduced on August 8; however, there have been reports of a delay in this occasion.
On Tuesday, Tesla said that it was still "vigorously" developing robo-taxis, but that the launch date would rely in part on regulatory clearance.
